Denims have been with us since time immemorial. They came into existence in the 18th century and as far as my knowledge goes, is the most popular fabric widely used by the poor as well as the rich.
In all my honesty though, personally I am not a fan, especially jeans. Regardless the season, the fabric sticking to my skin, I find it rather displeasing. During summers I tend to sweat in them and in winters, I feel like the fabric has absorbed the moisture which makes me feel damp and cold in it. So unless they are baggy, I fret wearing jeans. But then that’s just me.
Nevertheless, do I find them handy? Boy yes I do! Days when you are running late, just throw on a pair of Jeans with a T-shirt, top or even a knee length dress. And how can I forget a denim shirt, a double denim ensemble can never falter. Well, what can I say, the versatility of denim needs no preface or recitation.
Here is how a pair of jeans can save the day and change your look for different occasions without an outfit change, with just an added element without changing anything.
- A Casual Day out: Jeans, casual T-shirt with boots, flat sandals or sneakers. You can also layer the outfit with a casual blazer on those chilly days.
- Work: Jeans, Shirt, Scarf, Medium Heels/Sandals/Pumps
- Evening: Jeans, a party Top/Shirt, a statement piece of jewelry, a sexy pair of Stilettos (or whatever footwear you are comfortable in).
Camouflage print is extremely conventional as well and has been in trend for a while now!
Talking of popularity and versatility, the Camo-fashion is extremely conventional as well and has been in trend for like, forever? It just does not tend to cease! Each year, designers bring this trend back in terms of color, prints and designs.
About the look:
The look is a composition of denim and camouflage, trends that are durable and loved by all!
I love fusing prints and all the different genres of fashion. The idea behind this outfit is to make a composition of denim and camouflage, trends that are durable and loved by all, are persistent, and make a come-back with a bang every year! And pull a ready to wear outfit and a chic look at the same time.
I have paired a mesh camo midi length skirt with this studded collared denim cropped shirt. To give the look a more military touch, I have added a medal brooch and wore a pair of caged heels.
Hope you enjoyed the post. I would love to know how you like to wear your denim.
