Life as a Rockabilly jukebox!

rockabilly fashion

So I am going through this phase right now, where everything apart from important tasks seem significantly relevant. For instance, endless Instagram scrolling when I am way behind this post, or, watching and commenting on random Facebook videos when I should be editing pending images and planning new posts. Wanting to do something which you actually like doing and yet not doing it, which no one forced you to do in the first place, and then feeling guilty about it, not a very good feeling!

Talking about phases, I am also currently at a stage where thinking about my younger days and old memories make me feel alive and happier than my present. Furthermore, I look for little escapes, because, only if everyday getaways were possible right?

I   couldn’t   think   of   a   better   outfit   post   than   the   rockabilly   fashion,   for   it   pretty   much   sums   up   all   the   little   things   that   I   mentioned   above   I   love.

I am an 80’s kid and I grew up listening to all kind of music, starting from Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Maiden to well, Backstreet Boys and Spice girls too. Also, I was exposed to Bollywood and its ever so flamboyant music at a very early age, thanks to our community’s weekend Hindi movie marathon nights.  So yes, the 90’s pop and Bollywood music, but mostly old school metal and rock are where I run for cover ever so often.

Apart from music, everything that happened before the 1950’s fascinates me. The history, the culture, the fashion, I find it extremely intriguing. And although there is not much that I do when it comes to vintage fashion myself,  I love incorporating vintage home decor ideas. Hence, I couldn’t think of a better outfit post than the rockabilly fashion, for it pretty much sums up all the little things that I love.

So before I end the post, all I want to say is, no matter how unpleasant the situation is, there is always a way of keeping up with yourself. You grow up and no matter how much you crave for it, you cannot get your childhood back. But what you can do, is relive those wonderful memories, or do all the little things that make you feel at ease.
